Movie Edit Touch and compatible android devices

rjkowalski wrote on 9/15/2014, 5:34 PM

I was a little excited when I saw that there was now a Movie Edit Touch version for android.  I was hoping to do cut some clips while on mass transit to work.  My excitement ended quickly when I found out the software could not even be downloaded because its incompatible with my Nexus 10.  Really?  My google nexus 10 is not android enough?

If you are interested in this feature, be sure to ask about compatible devices.

Hi,

It is free.

Did you go through Google Play to get it? Would be strange that one would download it from Google Play and it wouldn't work on a Google machine.

There was an update on Sept. 5, I believe. Did you try this latest one?

John...yes, was using Google Play.  I had tried to install via Google Play awhile back and it said incompatible with device which I thought was strange.  I waited and tried again a couple days ago but got the same message.  I contacted Magix support and they confirmed via email that the developers say Movie Edit Touch is not compatible with the Nexus 10.  It's disappointing that they don't mention any plans to do anything about it.

Hi

. . . . nexus 10 is not android enough . . . .

Android comes in many flavours - it all depends on what flavour you have on the Nexus.

Being made by Google, Nexus 10 is always updated.  Mine is running Android 4.4.4.
