That is a Windows Media Player problem and not a Magix MEP problem. I have not found a way to stop WMP from doing this. It plays because you open it with a file, and I guess that Bill decided that since you opened it, you also wanted to run it. Thus if you don't want WMP to run the file, don't open WMP. Alternatively, you can always press on Stop.
