Movie Studio 18 Platinum will not start

Hi, I have just purchased and installed Movie Studio 18 Platinum, when I double click the icon it will not start, nothing happens. I have other Magix products installed (older version of Movie Edit Pro Plus, Magix video Pro X) and these start without issue. I have also tried uninstalling the program, re-downloading it and re-installing... still no luck. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi, correction to the above, since installing Movie Studio 18 Platinum my Movie Studio 16 Platinum comes up with an error message when I start it... something about a file is missing. I tried a reinstall and I get:-

ERROR: -2147163964 occured during installation.
Module C:\Program Files\Vegas Movie Studio 16.0\sfvstwrap.dll failed to register.
HRESULT -2147024770

I do not use Movie Studio 16 much so I am not too concerned but I would like to get Movie Studio 18 to start and working.

A Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables issue. I will follow the instructions, tomorrow anyway.

Hi, for anyone one who has the same issue.

I contacted Support and they responded the next day and sent me a link to a Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables package. I installed that without uninstalling anything. Then launched the program, it started up and said something was corrupt and to uninstall and reinstall Movie Studio 18. I did this and it reinstalled the required Visual C++ Package, reinstalled Movie Studio 18 and the program started.
