Movie Studio Platinum 13 Track height locked

Ken-Coughlin wrote on 9/5/2021, 1:27 PM

I just upgraded to Movie Studio 18 Suite, but I have a project that I created in Movie Studio Platinum 13. The last time I opened it, all of a sudden, I could no longer adjust the windows within the application.

I should be able to click on and expand the folder window, the media windows, the preview window, and I should be able to enlarge or decrease the track height, but none of that is working. I have one track that is taller than the others and two tracks that Armed for Recording, which I can't change.

I'm guessing it's some key combination I hit by mistake, but I haven't been able to figure out how to correct it.

Hi,

Can you please post a screen shot?

Movie Studio 18 is the same as Movie Edit Pro, which most of us here have.

Just to get the jargon sorted out, the windows are the Preview Monitor, Project or Timeline, and the Media Pool. The folders are under the Import tab of the Media Pool.

Try pressing F9 or go under Window in the top menu and select Window Arrangement, Reset...

In the timeline, track header, there is nothing that can be armed for recording, which is why we need to see what you are looking at. Recording is done completely differently, using the red record button under the Preview Monitor.

In the track header, there is a popdown under which you'll find track height and some options. You can change the track height for one or all tracks. You can also go to the interface between 2 tracks in the headers and you'll get a double-arrow to increase/decrease the track height.

Hi Ken,

Sorry, can't help with that. You'll have to ask on the Vegas Forum. See the Important Posts at the top of this forum for redirection.
