In the project to digitise DV camcorder videos I am asked to download and activate MPEG2 codec for free. Then told activation failed.
I have started the trial program as administrator but get the same message.
PC is running windows 7.
Any help would be most appreciated.

We need more information:
Computer specification - see this topic for details required and please quote the processor and graphics card /chipset make model in full.
AFAIK the MPEG-2 activation is not possible as you are running the trial version.
Assuming you are running the trial version of Movie Edit Pro (MEP) 2022 (current version) on Windows 7 then this version of MEP is not supported on Windows 7 the minimum specification requires Windows 8. and you also suggest there may be hardware compatibility issues - the computer specification will tell us this.
