MPEG-2 to DVD

Roger-Matthews wrote on 10/28/2019, 3:36 AM

I use Movavi Video Pro version 18 on HP Desktop running windows 7.

I’ve edited a 15fps file and tweaked the speed to 66% to make movement look correct on the PC. I’ve then exported the Movavi file to mpeg-2 and it still plays as intended and is not jerky. But when I burn the mpeg-2 file as a DVD it seems to have set the frame rate back to 100% and halts the motion every second or so. Is there anyway I can force the DVD to respect the settings of the mpeg-2 file?

@Roger-Matthews

Welcome to the Magix forums.

You say you have "Movavi Video Pro 18"; is that what you meant to write? If so, why are you posting to a Magix forum??

If, in fact, you are using Magix Movie Edit Pro version 18 (the current latest is 19.0.1.31) or perhaps Magix Video Pro X (current version 17.0.2.47) we may be able to help you! 😀

HI Jeff, Well I made a pig's ear of that one! I'm using both and your comment got me to check. Yes, the problem was with Movavi. I repeated my editing exercise in Magix Movie Edit Pro 18 and had no problem forcing a smooth slow down to 15fps. The outcome of my error is to use Magix and take he other off my menu.

cheers, Roger
