MPEG-4 Not Activated

I have been using the program routinely for the past couple months, yet today, 5/22/2017, the program suddenly will not read mp4 video files. This includes both new files introduced to the program, as well as older files that I know have been used in the program prior (they are in saved projects). I am unsure how this issue occurred and whether I was signed out of my account on the program. I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this problem and steps I could take to fix it.

Well I decided to run the program as an administrator, to see if that would perhaps fix the problem, and it did. Very odd situation which logically shouldn't have happened, but anyone looking for a fix step 1 is running the program as administrator and reactivating the MPEG-4 access.

Hi

. . . . I am unsure how this issue occurred and whether I was signed out of my account on the program . . . .

If you are running Windows 10 it is likely that an update has changed your user security settings.

Check that Windows has been receiving updates as this issue occurred about 1 year ago with a security upgrade.
