MPEG4 codec license issues and impossible to contact support

My original license code for the MPEG4 codec no longer seems to work, so I requested a new one.
This is the email I get from Magix:

Hello [snipped],

Thank you for activating your MAGIX product upgrade.
Your new activation code is: 0
---------------------------------------------------------------

So how can my activation have become "0"? The original activation code no longer works and neither does this 0.
Furthermore, it's impossible to contact support directly in this ridiculous website of redirection loops and dead ends.
