Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

First, for personal preference, I would always place the video and audio on separate tracks, though I think this may not be needed.

Second, at the left hand edge of the track which contains the audio you wish to become the Master, click on the down-arrow in the screenshot below.

This will open a drop-down list which includes "Multicam". Click on this and you have two selectable options, one of which is "Master Audio Track"; click on it.

Too bad the help manual says to right click the audio track to get this option. that does not work. The manual should be corrected. Thanks for finding the time to post an answer here. It really helped me out!

@Robert-Johnson

Hi,

That's probably a holdover from several versions ago before Magix added the popdown menu in the track header.

The MEP2019 manual states:

"Right click on the track box of one of the source audio tracks or a different audio track and select "Multicam: Master audio track" from the context menu to assign a master audio track for multicam editing."

This should be corrected to open the popdown menu and select Multicam...

Someone who still has a valid Update Service should raise a ticket with Magix asking them to change it in the next issue of the manual. Also, check first what is in the 2020 manual. The same applies to VPX11, someone should check VPX12 to see if this has been corrected (probably not).

I did a tutorial on multicam using VPX6 and I think that nothing much has changed. You may find this useful.
