In previous versions I have double clicked on video object to open editing suite. Is this no longer possibel? If not why not?

If you want to know what MAGIX was thinking when they designed their software, you'll have to ask them.

I'd suggest you read your manual. (I don't own MM-16)

Try right clicking the object to see if it gives you any options?
