Music Maker 2013 + Music Studio REFUSE TO LET ME ACTIVATE

Product: Music Maker 2013 + Music Studio bundle

OS: Windows 7 Home

Running 24GB RAM with 8 core AMD processor. No issues there.

I just bought this software bundle brand new from Best Buy in a sealed package not two hours ago. I installed both programs, and upon opening and attempting to activate with the Serial numbers that came in the package, I was dismayed to discover that the program refuses to activate. 

After multiple attempts, and an "Error Code -1" message, I attempted to activate Music Studio by phone. However, the phone system is simply horrible. It asks me to enter blocks of numbers, but is not capable of properly recognizing touch tones, though that is the only option I'm given. It asks me to enter block A, which is 261472. It asks me to enter block A again. I do so. I have it read the number back to me, and it says I've entered 22142. 

Reaching customer support is impossible. Products must be registered to create support requests, and the products will not register or activate. 

Simply put, this is horrible. Software should work quickly and accurately out of the box with no run around. I am extremely upset with this purchase. And, seeing as how this is new software that I have opened, I cannot return it. 

I need to know how to get this software working properly. I have a PC that is more than capable of running it. Otherwise, this company has stolen my money.

At what point does this fail - immediately after entering the serial number and proceeding to the next step or during online activation?

If the latter then are you getting a message that the serial number has already been registered - if so you need to check back with Best Buy regarding the serial numbers - another user has reported the same problem and the supplier sorted out the activation for them.

What type of Internet connection do you have?
