So i have the same problem with the magnifying glass always active in midi editing mode as the other guy had. However, i have a laptop without a click wheel. I was simply editing a track and it appeared and now it wont go away. any suggestions?? Makes it impossible to create anything when the alt key has to be held down for any use of the mouse

According to the PDF help file of Music Maker MX page 104 it says

Magnifying glass (Ctrl + 7)

Left mouse button: Zoom in
Right Mouse Button: Zoom out
Left mouse button + drag: Zooms in on the range.

Please read PDF help file and you will find solution to most of your problems.

I Read up on it in the PDF and Tried all listed hotkeys for it but it changed tools until i move the mouse and then it changes back. I think it is a glitch in the program or a hotkey that I accidentally hit. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and ran a repair reinstall on it but it still does the exact same thing.

As you have already done a lot of home work please try as follows:

Clear Internet Browser cookies/history.

Then run Disk clean(available in windows)

Open Music maker and try to use hot keys.

If it works that is great if not, there is one other possibility to solve your problem easily. I am not aware of your OS: Xp/Vista/Windows 7/8 but SYSTEM RESTORE must work fine.

If you remember the date when your program was working fine try to set system restore to that date or around that date. System restore won't delete anything it brings back the system to the date you will choose.

Where is system restore option? All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.(as per my windows vista) check your system.

So, I thought that system restore worked. It did for about a week. I am having the same problems again. This will be the 4th time i have system restored to get rid of the problem. Now I am trying to get ahold of tech support but the site will not let me send a request because it says my product is not registered. I have registered it already and it shows it on my listed products. I am completely stuck now without any ability to contact tech support over the computer and I am exceedingly frustrated with the whole magnifying glass bug that keeps reactivating itself. I keep seeing people posing the same question so its not just my product that is having the problem. Any help on contacting customer service would be helpful as would any link to a patch for the problem if one exists already and I cannot find it.
