the visual representation of "recording" stops at 16 bars. continue to record your track. when you stop the recording, the full recording will show on the track. the program only shows the first 16 bars to let you know its recording. as long as you see a signal in the recording window(the peak meter, from left to right) it is recording.

Regardless of the "visual representation," the midi recording ALWAYS stops at 25 bars no matter what position in the arrangement you choose to start at. Tod date, I have not found any helpful answers or solutions to this problem. IT IS SO VERY FRUSTRATING! Support is not helpful either, because all they do is send you a system check app that is useless.
