I cannot use some of the VST instruments previously purchased using Music Maker 2025. I continue to receive the error "UnsupportedByShop, Critical: Shop not configured to allow shop logins."

@David-Green4468 Open File > Settings > Program Settings and click on the button to clean up the store. This should delete the old cache of the store. Maybe it will work again after doing this.

David-Green4468 wrote on 5/6/2025, 8:50 AM

I tried that but no change. It just brings up the store with the item and wants to charge me again. This is really bad because I have 4 VST instruments I paid for and are Locked like this.

SP. wrote on 5/6/2025, 10:52 AM

@David-Green4468 Did you acquire the instruments with the same user account?

David-Green4468 wrote on 5/6/2025, 8:03 PM

I only have one account.

I can see most of the ones I purchased, but I dont see the ones I'm having problems with. I dont know why. They are "Saxaphonia, World Flutes, String Ensemble, concert grand, analog synths, and Freedom Rock, VST instruments." It happened after I upgraded to Music Maker Premium 2025.

I probably need to go to customer support.

Hello David,

As I have already indicated, if you cannot figure it out, please contact Magix Support. Send an email to infoservice@magix.net and explain your problem. We cannot access your personal data.

What you could also try is the following:

  • Start Magix Music Maker
  • Click on the tab Help / Deactivate Program...
  • Restart Magix Music Maker and log in again.

Good luck,
Rob

Hello David I don't know if you have figured out your problem as of this message try your hand at this. Make sure they are in the path (C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3) folder. Then go to magix menu bar and select settings, look for the Add VST Plug-in path...selector button can't miss it it is near the bottom of the dialog box. Once you have done this you will want to select, add scan path, and this will be your path to add (C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3) Once you have done this task you have just one more task to do and that is to select the, Reset VST plugin information selector button, and then restart your machine. make sure you log into Magix with your account.

Upgraded from MM24 to this and payed for absolute c***. Crash after crash, cannot even export anything anymore, I am so frustrated. Trying to get back to my old version. Support ticked opened since last week, no reaction. Great customer support. To everyone else, if you have a good running (older) version, don't upgrade, don't pay.

*Update* I was able to install MM24 next to 25. 24 works like a charm without a crash when exporting. From what i was able to export from crash messages or the main.log is it is sometimes a plugin (which comes with MM) or something else.

You can view your currently installed version and trigger the download and installation for available updates in the start dialog of the software.

My current version shows 32.1.0.18 on both the start screen and help > About. When I use "Update program online", it says "No update available - Your version is up to date". What other options do I have to get the update? Thanks!

SP. wrote on 6/7/2025, 3:16 PM

@smthng You have the lastest version of Music Maker 2024. Between Music Maker 2018 and 2024 updates to new versions were free.

But this changed with Music Maker 2025. You need to buy Music Maker 2025 to get the newest updates.

Be aware that Music Maker 2026 will release in the near future, so in case you buy Music Maker 2025 now you'll likely receive no further updates for it as well and need to buy Music Maker 2026, too. So it might be a good idea to wait and skip 2025.

Thanks @SP.  I would suggest to Magix support (and the company as whole) that if each year's software is now different and not just a description, the title of this and other posts like it should now be "Music Maker 2025 update 33.1.1.19". Forcing "year version" updates to get patches and fixes is... shifty.

I appreciate your input. There's nothing thrilling about MM2025 that I need, was just looking for more performance and/or stability. I can wait for the 2026 versions. Thanks!
