Music Studio will not work but Music Maker does - why?

I purchased the Music Maker Bundle (I believe it's #17) w/ 3 programs 2 work but the Music Studio Mx says "The Waveform Input Device 'Microsoft Sound Mapper' can't record this format! Reason: Undefined external error." Could you please tell me what this means? Thanks!

I have a similar problem, I've always used Music Maker(currently 18), but the Samplitude studio wont work when I try to record smh

I have run into this same issue and need it because Music Maker plays my vocals delayed after I record so I was hoping that Music Studio would do different but it hasnt.
