My movie edit pro no longer starts. The surf lady appears and then ... nothing. Reboot did not help. Reinstall did not help. I run W10 pro v10.0.19043. Any clues? It has worked for years. I found that the update service is expired. could that be the problem? if so how to activate this.
thanks for the reply Jeff. How can I obtain the version. the sw does not start. All I have is: MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Plus. Additionally maybe this helps. The images were written to a share that no longer exist.
To find what version of Movie Edit Pro you’re on, without starting it, do the following:
Right click on the Shortcut you use to start MEP and click “Open File Location”. This should take you to the actual MEP executable.
Right click this executable and click “Properties”.
Under the “Details” tab, look at the “Product Version” field.
I am on MEP Premium 2022 and on mine it says “21.01.119”

As @CubeAce commented you have Movie Edit Pro 2020 Plus.
Try the following using Windows File Explorer:
Start Movie Edit Pro.
Note: the above will reset any custom folder paths, program settings etc that you have made.
