My projects export as widescreen but the imported video is 4:3

I'm exporting video that is 640x480 4:3 and I select 4:3 when I set up the AVI export but they are coming out as widescreen 16:9 videos. This has only started to happen recently. I have reset Magix Movie Edit Pro 15 to default settings but this has not solved the problem. I'm using XP. Any advice welcome.

Hi,

Are you sure that you have all three of these set to 4:3?

Thanks for the quick reply and screenshots, Terry. The setups are exactly as in your pics. I have just had a brainwave and tried a different export codec - Indeo 4.5 - and the aspect ratio is now perfect. The problem was therefore derived from an xvid codec that I installed some time ago and which works perfectly with my new 720p files but which evidently won't faithfully render my older Academy Aperture files. It's a pity, as the xvid codec delivers a nice result without a huge file size. Perhaps I'll find one specifically for rendering my older files. Thanks again and kind regards from Scotland.
