Hi!

Movie Edit Pro is not able to create DVDs with multiple audio tracks.

This can only be done in Video ProX, sorry.

Regards,

Markus

Hi

However there is a 'workaround' which may work for you:

  1.     Copy the entire contents of the timeline

  2.     Start a new timeline by clicking the + button to the right of the current
        timeline tab

  3.     Paste the copied contents into the empty timeline

  4.     Add or remove the audio

  5.     Save the project

When burned to disc, DVD or BD, you will find the menu has two movies in it - one with audio the other without - label these with appropriate names in the menu editor.

NOTE: the combined running time of the two timelines must be less then 2 hrs for a standard DVD or BD.

John,

I've never worked with karaoke but I'm curious to understand what the OP is trying to do. As I understood his question, while watching the DVD he wants to switch immediately between those two states, using a button (or two) on his remote.

Markus,

Can that be done by making the DVD with VideoPro X?

Anyone,

Is there any software that will allow this to be achieved after rendering the DVD?

Hi

If the OP wants to switch audio while playing - this is possible in VPX - switching between audio tracks while playing is done using the Audio button on the players remote control.

. . . . Is there any software that will allow this to be achieved after rendering the DVD? . . . .

Yes and No - there are several DVD authoring programs eg DVD Lab Pro where you can add in more audio tracks and controls, change button behaviour, end of chapter behaviour etc - however you still have to re-render the project back to a DVD.
