Do you mean the shop content or plugins? I can't find anywhere on the Magix website where it states that version has additional third party effects. If you are missing the Magix effect set.

Have you tried going to help \ load additional content in Movie Edit Pro Plus?

The additional Magix plugins have to be downloaded separately once the program is installed.

Sorry bout that:) To be clear, all the extra content installed, I just need to activate the extra content with a new "G" activation code. That's what I'm looking for. I only have the program and extra content loaded on the new computer, so I need a new G code to activate the extra content only, Movie Edit Pro Plus, installed and activated just fine.

When I go to content pack(s) it brings up this popup and that's where my original code (supplied by the seller of my download) is not working...

First you can't put that number in more than once and you don't put the 'G' in the number.

If you got the extras via the online shop page in MEP then it should be downloaded.

The screenshots are not of what I meant. We may need to know which products you are missing.

G codes are used as coupon codes on Producer Planet. They can only be used once. But you can redownload everything you bought with the code. Maybe try to login on https://www.producerplanet.com/ and then look under My Products to redownload your content.

I didn't buy it from Producer Planet, I got it on ebay from "downloadbuyer". It's legit, but it's the older 2018 version which lined up perfectly with the specs my older Windows 7 machine. This is the extra content I speak of, which is installed but not activated...

You say you bought the 2018 version of MEP Plus. Is that correct? And received some sort of coupon for an additional Content Pack. Is that correct?

But the list of items in your latest screenshot clearly shows items that are the "additional content" for MEP 2019. I strongly suspect you will never be able to activate it because of this difference in versions.

Can you check in the app, under Help>About, exactly which version of MEP you have?

That is MEP 2019 and you are missing several patches - the last version was 18.0.3.261 - click Update online under Help to update to the latest patch

Those are the standard extra content standard downloads for MEP, if they are installed as I said in my first comment above then they do not need activating.

The other extras that need installing should be (IIRC)

- NewBlue Colorfast

- NewBlue Elements Overlay

- Hitfilm Movie Essentials

and they should be available as shown in the image below

The serial number should already be populated - circled in image above - make a note of it and keep it in a safe place in case you need them again.

These need registering with Hitfilm and NewBlue - when you install them a popup should appear for each one these are similar to the ones below - you may not have all the effects I have in the image below

Note you may not see these as they tend to popup underneath the MEP window as shown below they should be the bottom toolbar click the icon indicated to make them visible.

Okay John this is where I'm at now...

And nothing on my tool bar.

This is what is in my templates...

I see that I have 5 things to choose from the store for free, but when I go to redeem them they show that I will be billed for them...

Please learn to take screen shots properly: Alt+prtScn and paste in a graphics program, like Paint, or even Word, save or export to jpg, or use IrfanView. We do not take photos or videos of the screen with a camera to make our screen shots or videos.

Okay I just clicked on one of the store items and took it all the way to purchase and it zero'ed it out so thank you for that! As for the screen shots that's what I'll do next time. What I don't know about this stuff you can fit around the world:)

I want to make a few movies first, and see what I need before I purchase, but I will let you know both what I get, and, if I had any price limits! I define the word video beginner. I'm a musician by trade so I thought some movie making skills would be nice. Years ago (2007) I bought a movie camera that saved in AVCHD on mini DVDs, and I've really never been able to use it for uploading videos, because when I bought it, my computers weren't very advanced, and none of my software would read that code. But when this pandemic hit, since I'm home twiddling my fingers, I thought I would see if I could learn to do some video stuff using that old camera. I found some movies I recorded with it in 2008, and they opened up fine in Movie Edit Pro, so that's why I put the software on a better computer (i7, 32GB RAM, SSD HD, etc). Here's the first thing I did with Movie Edit Pro, start throwing tomatoes now:)

I think because it's 720p it could possibly do with a small amount of sharpening as the image looks a bit soft and possibly drop the word Coolios at the end, but very watchable. Cool look by the way.

A very simple improvement would be to reduce the glare of the Exit sign.

Black swatch (on a higher numbered track) sized down (Effects, View/Animation, Size/Position) to be just a bit bigger that the sign, give it a bit of transparency, some blurring, done. If you have installed the additional content under Help, the you will have some colour swatches under Templates, Image objects, Test images.

Ray, I can't believe you watched the whole thing, you are truly a nice guy, or a sucker for punishment:) I appreciate all of your critiques. Over the next few weeks I'm going to try and shoot some video with the camera in more ideal light settings, and then I will get to work learning how to use the tips and tricks I find on the web! I truly appreciate the help I've gotten so far from you guys!

It's like anything else. We are all at different levels of learning. We swap tips and when we can we help. Been in your shoes with this program not so long ago. I, too, can't work at present, and just as at a loss as to how to get by day to day.

As to am I a nice guy or a sucker, I have certificates for both qualifications. 😆
