New Blue Titler EX problem

rwright88 wrote on 6/28/2017, 4:16 PM

I have Movie Edit Pro 2017 Plus, version 16.0.4.102. When I use the New Blue Titler EX the text that is brought into MEP is leaning over to the left and it is black and white no matter what colors I use in the Titler application. Anyone else having this problem? I did not have this problem with 2015 Plus.

Here's what happens:

Hi,

I'm not a regular user of NewBlue Titler EX, but I could not reproduce that behaviour.

Could you start a fresh project and repeat the exercise, describing every one of the detailed steps you took. It almost looks as if you've inadvertently applied a shear effect.

Thank you for responding. I have tried starting fresh several times. Even if I just start the NB titler and immediately exit, the basic text still comes through bent over and off center. It still works perfectly in 2015 Plus and it's the same version of the NB titler! (V 01 Build 140725) I had not yet tried it before the last patch so I don't know if it was working then. Thanks again.

Hi

I cannot replicate this either. However I have a different version of the NB Titler EX - mine is V 1.0 Build 150807

I would suggest you run Help, Check for updates in NB Titler.

As well as what Terry has asked for, we need more information - can you post screen shots of the Style, Effects and Transition tabs of the text that skews.

Thanks

Thank you too for responding. First I checked for updates in NB Titler. "You have the most current version" was the result, which is obviously not true and I think is really the problem. Here are the screen shots. I made the three you asked for plus the results in MEP. Thanks again.

Baffling indeed.

If you haven't yet done so, how about a support request to New Blue FX using their support form:

https://newbluefx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Just point them to this thread.

Off topic, but yesterday I saw at least one additional post after mine above (30/06 22:59), yet now that is the last in the thread, with no further page options. Refreshing makes no difference. Temporary web site bug?

Thank you Terry and John! I did submit a support request to New Blue and they sent me a link to download build #150807. It works perfectly now! If you have MEP 2017 This is the New Blue Titler EX build you should have (150807.)

terrypin wrote on 7/8/2017, 2:25 AM

Pleased to hear you got it sorted. I'll check my version when I get back to my PC, although I'm guessing it's 150807 like John's. In case others hit the same problem as you did and end up here, could you also post the NB direct link please.

Terry.

I just upgraded from MEP Plus to Premium. Premium says it has the New Blue Titler Pro but I don’t see any difference in the title effect. Or is it a separate title plug that I should be looking for?

johnebaker wrote on 10/31/2018, 1:45 AM

@jaslan

Hi

Assuming you have upgraded from Plus to Premium with the same version number of MEP then there is no difference with the NB Titler Pro between Plus and Premium versions.

See here for the differences between versions.

Thanks for the reply and help, John.

The manual (page 17) says that Plus, Premium, and Control versions have additional feature of “New Blue Titler EX” then, it goes on to say that the Premium and Control versions have “exclusive” features of “New Blue Titler Pro Express.”. Maybe I am looking at the wrong Titling effect... I am looking at the first block in the “Effects” tab that just simply says “Title”. It doesn’t say anything about New Blue at all. It is very basic with border and shadow options and a couple basic movement options. Or is there a completely seperate title plugin I need to install?

BTW, I have MEP Premium 2019 version. I was on 2017 Plus.

@jaslan

Hi

. . . . I am looking at the first block in the “Effects” tab that just simply says “Title”. It doesn’t say anything about New Blue at all. . . . .

That is the standard 'Magix' Title effect that all versions of MEP have.

The NB Titler is lower down as shown below

If you do not have this then that would suggest you have not installed all the extras and add-ons.

Thanks again. I will look into that.

OK. I have installed ALL of the additional content and still don't have the New Blue Titler. I suspect it is no longer included but was mistakenly left in the manual. I started with 2018 Plus. I mentioned earlier that I started with 2017 Plus but I BOUGHT it in 2017 but it was the 2018 version. Anyway, I notice that the current version comparison and specifications on the actual description and purchase website do not mention the New Blue Titler at all. I only found mention of it in the manual. Perhaps the 2017 version was the last version to include it and they missed removing it from the manual. I am checking my 2018 Plus version to see if it might have been included with that and I failed to install it because there was some content that I installed and then uninstalled (such as Slide Show Makers, movie templates, etc) because I didn't think I would ever use them. Anyway, I plan to also send a support request to see if perhaps they just forgot to include it in the new installation media.

Thanks for the help.

Ok. I got word back from tech support. They said the New Blue Titler is NOT included and the manual is mistaken.

@Glenn-Potter

Welcome to the Magix forums.

Your post to this thread asks "Why?" Why what? is my response. Are you asking why Tech Support replied in the way they did? Or are you asking why NB Titler is not included? Or are you asking why the "manual is mistaken"?

Or..???
