New soundpools are not available

Daniel-Beck2720 wrote on 1/3/2021, 12:35 AM

I just bought some collections from Producer Planet. Although the "Apply Media after Download" box was checked, nothing was installed. So I unzipped the files into the "Soundpools" folder where the rest of my content was installed, and it doesn't show up in the software. I click the "Add+" button and the folders don't even show up.

There has to be an easier way. Time is critical to many people.

I'm sorry if I sound grumpy. But when we pay for soundpools, and we want to write part of a new score with the loops we just bought, and only have a small window to work in, it is truly horrible to be shut down by the software itself.

Did you buy Magix loops or were they from a different supplier on Producer Planet?

Daniel-Beck2720 wrote on 1/3/2021, 6:47 AM

Yes, Magix

Modern Score Complete Bundle, Metal - Boom bundle, and then I also got the free ones.

Nothing, eh? Is this Product Support?

If I can't access a Magix product purchase in my Magix software, why did I purchase it? Why can't someone from Magix tell me how to use this? The software asks me if I want it to install for me, I say Yes. Yet my purchase is still not available? Why/how is this?

I really like music Maker, but this is horrible business!

@Daniel-Beck2720 This is not support. This is the user forum for Magix products. You can just drag and drop the audio files from the Windows Explorer to your project if you are not able to add it into the Soundpool library as a workaround.

We don't know if your are doing something wrong or if there is another problem. You could make a video recording or screenshots showing us step by step how you try to unzip and add the Soundpools.

I'll take some screenshots if you like. It's just file folders.

Catooh always installed my purchased soundpools to:

c > Users > Public > Public Documents > MAGIX > common > Soundpools > Basics_19

When I launched the store from the Music Maker interface (Catooh button) there's a check box asking if I want the files applied after download. I always leave that checked.

I've been away from Music Maker for a while working on my 3D CG/VFX work and playing live music in my band. I come back and buy these cool new sound pools and I can't use them.

So do you mean I can drag the entire sound pool folders onto my interface?

Okay, so now I go ahead and make a new arrangement. I can't export to mp3! Argh!

So I press the button to buy the activation for that, get the email with the activation code, enter the code, code is accepted successfully, still can't export anything - not a single option is available to me.

I'm trying to just remain calm. At the end of my patience... but c-c-c-cccalm! LOL

Oh, so when the new store didn't install my new soundpools, I unzipped them into that Basics_19 folder along with the rest of the purchases and the ones that came with the Premium Edition.

Still nothing.

So I go to the Add + button. It fails to even see the folders?!!! WTF? I don't get this!

Okay, I went to the Program Files (x86) to set it up to always run as Administrator when all of a sudden it hit me. Simplicheck. Simplicheck always got installed along with MMM, and I had uninstalled it. Running the installer again, see if that fixes me up.

Running the "Repair" mode. It's found things to fix, so fingers crossed.

Funny thing is, I just made this song a few weeks ago, and it worked fine (exported, etc.,):

@Daniel-Beck2720

Hi,

Give us a screen shot of Windows Explorer showing where you put the new Soundpool.

Also, show a screen shot of the explorer when you navigate to the new Soundpool. You say that you put it under Basics_19, (no need to do this) so we should at least be able to the other Soundpools under Basics_19.

Did you "Add" the entire Basics_19 folder?

If you can see the Soundpools in Windows Explorer, then you should be able to see them in the Add soundpools explorer, as it's the same thing.

@Daniel-Beck2720 Catooh is long gone. It could be that your version has problems with producerplanet shop, but I'm not sure.

Like browj2 said, you just need to unzip the Soundpools to a folder like c > Users > Public > Public Documents > MAGIX > common > Soundpools. A subfolder like "Metal - Boom Bundle" should be created automatically with all the loops inside. Then scan the c > Users > Public > Public Documents > MAGIX > common > Soundpools directory for new Soundpools and it should add the Boom Soundpool to your Music Maker.
