New Update for MAGIX Video Pro X13 | Version 19.0.1.103

MAGIX_Redaktion wrote on 6/30/2021, 10:22 AM

Dear community,

we promised that we would work hard to release a patch for Video Pro X13 and now it is available!

Version 19.0.1.103 includes the following improvements:

  • Fixed: Motion tracking
  • Fixed: Performance bug for photo projects
  • Fixed: Screen capture
  • Fixed: Crashes when closing the effect "Position/Size", when resetting the effect, when closing the dialogue box "Cookie cutter"
  • Fixed: Crashes when switching films in a project
  • Improved: Software performance when switching films in a project
  • Fixed: Analogue recording
  • Fixed: Auto exposure
  • Fixed: Export preview
  • Fixed: AVI Import
  • Fixed: Compatibility with Intel GPU
  • Fixed: Errors in the DVD and Blu-ray menu templates
  • Fixed: Timecode templates
  • Fixed: OGG and other audio files from the store can now be imported into the project
  • Fixed: AAC import
  • Fixed: Import of media created by Canon 80D
  • Fixed: Hardware acceleration during HEVC Encoding with NVIDIA graphic cards
  • Fixed: Processing time for "Audio resampling".
  • Improved: "Calculate video effects on GPU" is now always active when a GPU is selected in Program Settings > Device Options > Processing.

We still work on fixing the bugs regarding the positioning of titles and the multicam mode within the source monitor. A software patch follows as soon as possible.

In addition, titles can be positioned in the following alternative way:

  1. Create and configurate title.
  2. Choose “View/Animation” and then “Size/Position/Rotation” in the effect window.
  3. Within the newly opened window you can adjust all parameters to position the title as you wish.

We wish you a lot of fun with Video Pro X13!

Best wishes,
Your MAGIX Redaktion

Is there any way to UNINSTALL or ROLL BACK this update?? Ever since I installed this yesterday I have had problems with the program. It loads extremely slowly (about a minute or more), I takes about 10-15 seconds to display the screen when I move from one section of my movie to another, and it will not render the video. I click for it to make a Mpeg video and click ok and it makes a 2K movie and quits (the render screen disappears and I am back in edit mode) This video was working just a day ago when I had the other version installed. Any thoughts?

Hello @preacherallen

This update is not rollbackable, however you can downgrade to Pro X12

Good luck, Rob.

So it is not just me. Come on Magix. So many glitches it should be free! You've messed up my work flow. I guess I just have to wait..

Hello Carl-Benjamin,

It's true, you're not the only one experiencing problems with Pro X13. As a forum member, like you, I find it frustrating to have to temporarily downgrade to Pro X12. But Magix Germany has allowed me to finish my movie projects.  Personally I expect, that Magix will come up with an adequate patch very soon. Remember, where people work, mistakes are made.

best wishes,
Rob

Is there a way to disable hardware acceleration in the new patch? The previous one is not working with my video card.

Hi

. . . . Is there a way to disable hardware acceleration in the new patch? . . . . .

If you are on Windows 10 or 8 - the closest you can get is to set the Program settings, Display options tab Import, Processing and Export options to Microsoft WARP.

Has anyone found out if an audio track can be edited by an external editor yet?

Thanks for the answer! I can't find that in WIN 10 latest.

Hello Folkivan,

....Is there a way to disable hardware acceleration in the new patch? The previous one is not working with my video card.....

This is how you do it:

  • Start Video Pro X13
  • Click on "Y"
  • this will take you to the Program Settings menu
  • Click on the tab: Device Options
  • Set Export to: Compatibility Mode (videoForWindows)
  • Click on OK

Good luck,

Rob

When you set the Microsoft Warp, the hardware acceleration remains intact. See:

Hi

Microsoft WARP will use the GPU for HWA if it can, in your case it does so. If WARP cannot utilise a GPU it will revert to the CPU and gives a faster export than using the Compatibility Mode (Video for Windows).

Hello, John,

Thanks👍 for your explanation about Microsoft WARP. I'm going to look into what WARP is all about. If I have any questions, I'll be happy to use your expertise, if you don't mind?
I just found this link on the internet: [click here]. As far as I understand it so far, WARP automatically handles hardware acceleration, as opposed to compatibility mode (Video for Windows).

Kind regards,
