In VPX I can only add the Titler Pro FX directly to a movie clip it seems.
I truly need to have it on it's own track like other FX that I use so I can move it around...
Does anyone know if this is possible in VPX. I know it has been possible with Avid Media composer from a video I saw.

That is the way the integrated Titler works.- you will find there are several different design/effects elements that must be attached to an object on the timeline .
A quick workaround is to add an image to the timeline, make its length the same as the time you want the tile to be displayed, drag the handle in the centre of the image object fully down - this will make the image transparent - and add the NB title to that.

What is the problem with moving it around in the titler itself? All those plugins have the ability to move and resize with the clip frame as a background.
I am using this for lyric videos, so that means splicing my video clip all over the place.I prefer to use separate objects...and then sometimes the verse or chorus repeats...
