No Audio At All

System: Windows 10 64-bit, Sound Forge Audio Studio 12.6

I can load mp4 videos into SF and hitting play indicates the time is passing, but no audio plays.

I have used this program to edit audio in mp4 video before without issue.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program.

So what's happened since? Upgraded your OS? Changed your audio drivers? Etc.?

Do PCM <.wav> and other audio file types playback normally? .. Do the files playback in other applications and players.. you could try resetting SF to the default settings which also clears the cache. or reinstall. I would first reinstall the AAC codec (Quicktime).

rraud and Poinzy, thanks for getting back to me.

I figured out the issue. I had a Windows Update before the problem started. Apparently either it or the SF reinstall switched the speakers I was using from my speaker/mic combo to the original default (which I'd deactivated). Things seem to be working fine now.
