no audio from .vob import on Magix MEP 2015 Plus

Greetings,

I am trying to import a non protected, homemade dvd recording of weekly church services so I can edit volume levels and trim the recording before we make copies for our shut-ins and nursing home residents.

When i try to import the .vob file, the video comes through fine but there is no audio information.

I have tried 'show audio/video on separate track', I have tried show wave form and nothing.

I have uninstalled and then reinstalled real player

I have downloaded the latest codec for windows 10.

I am up to date on win 10

I am using a Dell Vostro 3560, i5-3210m cpu @2.5ghz, 16gb ram, amd radeon hd 7670 card and built in audio

I am using MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2015 Plus Version 14.0.0.187 (UDPP3) and there are no other updates available.

I have tried multiple dvd's all with the same result.

I am able to play the dvd with video and sound using VLC media player.

I have used Magix in the past to edit videos just fine, approx 6 mo ago, but do not know what may have changed since then.

Thank you in advance for your help.

This may be the issue....

Since the Windows 1803 update, sound been an issue for magix ( and some other software). Fortunately, there is a fix.... but I am not sure if your v2015 will be fixable by it.

Anyway here's the posting to the fix is here.
