I did. I reinstalled the copy sent once I got my Premium License. I uninstalled the FREE version and then reinstalled the Premium. What other solutions might I have?
I just had the same problem, when I looked at "C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Music Maker\29\SongTemplates" I had a folder "SongMakerTemplates" This had all the files required so I copy and pasted them back into "SongTemplates" and restarted Music Maker. It now has the Genre in Song Maker
It was located inside "C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Music Maker\29\SongTemplates" , actual location is "C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Music Maker\29\SongTemplates\SongMaker Templates"
I'm stumped. I see the xml files now in the folder - but nothing in the interface. It's very frustrating. I've updated the software. Am not sure what to do now.
@Julian-Grant Cleaning up the store didn't help? You can also try to select File > Settings > Reset program settings to default or logging out, restart Music Maker and logging back in.

Sometimes I get confused but surely when you reinstall you start off by reinstalling the free version. Once that is installed you download and install all the additional content relating to Premium edition, which I assume includes song maker, from within the program.
@Graham-Hawker But it looks like Song Maker is already installed or else @Julian-Grant wouldn't see the Song Maker GUI (and the missing templates). Replacing the SongTemplates folder with my folder didn't work. And deleting the MusicMaker.ini also did not work.

This worked for me. Thank You!!! Apparently the devs somehow put the files in a folder when it's not supposed to go into a folder. Anybody else having this problem should copy all the files in SongMaker Templates up one folder into SongTemplates and it will be fixed.
@Julian-Grant Nice to hear it worked. But it confuses me a little because yesterday I sent you the folder with the Templates already copied from "SongMakerTemplates" into "SongTemplates". Why didn't that work?
