NO MTS Audio in Movie Edit Pro

Tusk wrote on 6/7/2018, 12:22 AM

Apparently this is due to the Windows update, I've read some of the fixes, but they haven't worked. I'm running Movie Edit Pro 2104 (I had to go back because the updated MEP started outputting distorted 3d video and MAGIX crap support couldn't help, insisted I set 3D output which I didn't )

I understand one solution might be to re-download the codec for MTS files, but I don't see where I can request that? The codec file download happened the first time I used a file, but I can't see where I can re install the codec. Does anyone know if this works and how I could download and install the codec again?

I really like this software, bought others, came back to this. But their non existent 'support' is about to force me to go elsewhere. I've used Magix for almost a decade, bought updated versions twice. But this might be the last straw. I cannot continue with a company that obviously doesn't care for it's customers.

Any help is appreciated, I wouldn't be this upset if I didn't like this software. Too bad the company sucks :(

Hi, have you seen the reponse from Magix Tecnical Support to your post to the parallel thread here?

It appears that your specific problem is NOT related to the latest Windows update since MEP 2014 is NOT affected by the problem.

I had upgraded to the latest version as 2014 was getting older, but for some reason, the newest version, out of no where started outputting 3D video even though I don't use 3D video or have my settings as 3D, so looked distorted on Youtube. So I had to return to the 2014 version just to upload regular 2D video as Magix support couldn't help figure out why it was making 3D video.

Maybe the fix is to re-install the audio Codec for the MTS files. Would you know where I could find those?

Thanks
