Hi,

I am trying to get this post posted, "From Sweden-bad English in typing" But here we go.

Have get the trial version pro plus and I am making dashcam videos but when I try this Magix I cant get any sound.
The files are in .mp4 from the dashcam and have been working great from Win movie maker to Filmora software and diffrent that I have been using.

But this is not working, I have a "Se pic if the computer"

I have tried to change to direct sound in settings, Have tried to reset VST PLUGIN have tried all before I post but nothing is working for me, Anyone have any ide why I cant use this program ?

My Blackvue dashcam dont work in Magix but my videos from my digital camera works fine.

My smartphone "Android" movies work in the program, Why dont the files from the dashcam wont work.

please help so I can get this program, I really whant to use this Magix

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

.mp4 file format is actually a "container", meaning the codecs needed to create and playback the file can be quite varied. It is entirely possible that MEP cannot access a codec needed for playback, even if it is present on your computer.

To help us to help you please download and install the free MediaInfo utility, point it to one of the files which MEP cannot reproduce the audio and post the results of the Tree view here.

You should not make any changes to the sound settings or to the VST Plugins in order to solve this problem; neither of these is going to help you at all if the problem is a missing codec.

The issue you are having with the audio is because of a non standard sampling rate of 8000 Hz - Movie Edit Pro (MEP) expects at least 44100 Hz or better a 48000 Hz sample rate.

The only way to fix this this is to use a Video Converter to convert the MP4 to a standard that MEP will accept. Check if video converter software came with the dashcam

When posting data from MediaInfo please use the Text view - you can then copy and paste the text into your post.

Text view gives us more detail than the Basic view you have posted.

No, if you want the audio as well then you must run the video through a video converter* to standardize the audio to the correct bitrate and samplerate for Movie Edit Pro.

* I and several other members here use MOVAVI Video Converter, it is not free, however it is a very good converter.
