Sound device...

You may not have a sound card, meaning an actual sound card versus a sound chip, perhaps the sound device you do have is not full duplex.

If you are in the Music Maker 17 software, press the "Y" on your keyboard and open the Audio/MIDI tab. On the MIDI side, check your output and input devices.

Thanks John-Auvil.

I have set the MIDI to "Oxygen 25" as input device and "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth" as output device in both Direct Sound and ASIO Driver.  In neither case do I get a sound.  The Magix Maker virtual keyboard reacts to the Oxygen but there is no sound output.

I have two audio devices:

1/ Conexant Hi Def SmartAudio 221

2/ NVIDIA Hi Def Audio

In the MIDI settings I have MS Wavesynth as Output and my Oxygen 25 as Input.  I am now suspecting that the problem is with the MS WaveSynth Output.

Hello,

Were you able to fix the problem with your MIDI keyboard?  I just got Magix Music Maker with an included MIDI keyboard the other day.  I was so excited.  And then I ran into the issue that you stated, and was almost convinced that it would not be fixed.  That is until I tried something that came into my mind just this morning.  In less than five minutes I got it working.
