Hi,

Is just a suggestion, Windows media player must be level 10 or 11 and must be activated or the default player to open AVI file, my idea the Quicktime software is designed by default to open AVI file. May be you receive a message that Windows Media player is not your default player for AVI.

Regards,

Just read your answer, thanks, but a number of cameras and video cams export in AVI format and thus MEP imports in that format.  However, I have since learnt that AVI is not a true video format for editing and so I will continue to use Format Factory to reformat them either to MOV or WMP format.
