No 'Start-Up' screen & 'Install Additional Content' yet all installed

Xenofex2 wrote on 1/6/2021, 12:04 PM

Although I had MEP 2021 installed I have just renewed the Update Service for another twelve months.

I now find that when opening MEP (20.0.1.73) I get this window every time (see attached) to select the components that I would like to install. However everything shown is installed. I have re-started the PC but no change. This same Window appears.

Interestingly, the normal ‘Start-up Dialogue Screen’ that one would normally see, (ie Create Project/Open Existing Project) does not now appear.

Probably ticked something that I shouldn’t but cannot figure what. Any clues please?

Thankyou John and now have that Create Project Screen back... but

when I start MEP, I now seem always to get that invitation to 'download additional content'. If I click 'ok' then the Window opens inviting me to download components but none are available and I am not allowed to re-tick any box in an attempt to stop this screen appearing. The only way to move on is to press 'cancel'. However by going down this route the 'Create Project Screen' then does NOT appear.

Re-start MEP but this time click 'later' to the invitation to download additional content, then the 'Create Project Screen' DOES appear. But that means at the moment I am going to get this 'invite' every time and must always click 'later'.

Hi George

. . . . Re-start MEP but this time click 'later' to the invitation to download additional content . . . .

Did you check the Do not show again before clicking Later as shown in the comment I linked to?

John

Turns out that I obviously did not. Just re-opened MEP a few times after doing the above and yes, everything opens ok.

Many thanks & it's back to the naughty step for me saying 'I must pay attention' over and over.

Thanks Again

George

Hi George

You can come off the naughty step now. 😂

Pleased you are now free of the dialog.
