@mark-harris

Welcome to the Magix forums.

First, you will see I have edited your post title. Please do not use potentially offensive or obscene language in the forums (see the Community rules #1, in the footer of any forum page).

Second, you can only register a product if you have created a Magix account. Can you confirm that such an account exists if you visit this page?

Magix prefers to edit posts that put them in a bad light, and bury their heads in the sand. They ignore issues with their SW, client challenges, and offer up robo help that is an attempt to cover up their real problems. They claim I don't have an account yet I posted my displeasure from inside my log in. The product shows up under my account but will not activate. I paid $100.00, and now I want it back. Jeff, Who runs this company, and gets away selling products that are never intended to work? How does your conscience allow you to put up with doing this to the public?

@mark-harris

First, some correction to the misinformation in your post.

This is a user to user forum and I, along with all the other moderators on the forum, am NOT a Magix employee; we are all fellow users. So, none of us is engaged in editing or removing anything that puts (Magix) in a bad light. No-one in the forum ignores issues and/or offers up robo help that is an attempt to cover up their real problems. The "editing" of the title to your thread was in order to keep posting language within that allowed by the Community rules.

Who has claimed you don't have an account? For that matter, an account with whom? The fact that you can log in and post to the forum has nothing whatsoever to do with having an account with Magix; your forum account is totally independent of your Magix (product) account, each requires a separate "registration". So, do you have such a product account? You would have one if you have registered ANY product with Magix, such registration allowing you to access a personal page where all your purchased products are listed, along with their serial numbers/activation keys.

Where did you actually purchase whichever Magix product you are writing about, and which product is it?

I do understand something of your frustration but there is absolutely no point in ranting in the forum, for the reasons outlined above. Please help us to help you by posting in a civil manner and explaining in detail, step by step, everything you have tried so far, including any error messages you received.

Hi

Magix do not edit the posts - the Moderators of the forum, who are not employees of Magix, we are users just like yourself, do that, particularly when where there are cases offensive language, ranting or makes unjustified or unverifiable statements - read the Community rules - link is at the bottom of the page.

. . . . This happens EVERY TIME I buy a MAGIX Product. I can NEVER REGISTER IT. . . . . The product shows up under my account but will not activate

Is this one product or many - your statements are contradictory, and which one?.

Check the following:

  1. the email address in the program is correct

  2. your firewall is not blocking the programs access to the Internet.

  3. the following Internet protocols turned on
