No way to select individual title

When using Magix Movie Edit Pro Plus, if I have a series of separate title objects on a track and I select any individual title, it also selects all subsequent titles and treats them as a group. Therefore, if I drag a title then it adjusts all subsequent titles with it. If I delete a title then all titles on the same line shift left. I haven't been able to find a preference that will disable this maddening behavior. How can I select an individual title without affecting any other title objects on the same track?

Hi Shane.

I notice they all seem to be linked. Use the broken chain icon to unlink them.

If I multi-select the titles then the broken chain icon does not illuminate. If I go ahead and click the broken chain with multiple titles selected then it does highlight only the first selected title. However, if I drag it then the others still drag with it. Is this the broken chain icon that you are referring to?

Hi,

You are in mouse mode for a track, so selecting one object also selects and moves everything to its right. See the second button to the right of the one that you put the red rectangle on? Click the one to its left, single object mouse mode. Then watch my tutorials on basic editing in MEP.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It is not supposed to - the only icons that stay illuminated are those that toggle a mode on - off ie the current mouse mode, snap to grid mode (on/off) and the Preview monitor mode - Lightning icon bottom right (smooth playback option on/off.

The rest lighten when you mouse over them and briefly flash blue when clicked.

Now I see -- I was in "Mouse mode for single track" when I needed to be in "Mouse mode for single object." That fixes it. Thanks for your help.
