not recognising the usb

I have Windows 10 and I bought and downloaded the needed program Magix Easy video saver, it installed but when it was installing the USB driver it went to 95% percent, stopped and ended in error. I tried using the software and it works but it is not recognising the USB stick connected with SCART to my videoplayer when I choose the option to import analog. What can I do?

Hi and welcome to the forum

See this Support article and download the correct driver for the USB stick you have.

Additionally in the Windows Settings, Privacy ensure that the microphone and camera are set to allow desktop apps to access them.

I did as the article said and it installed the program, however after installation and changing the windows settings I plugged the USB in and it does not still recognise it. Should I uninstall the whole software and try again?

@johnebaker yes I did turn on the privacy camera settings and micophone settings for desktop apps.

Sara, I had a recent problem with the Win10 USB drivers for the black capture device which I managed to resolve by using the driver from the ‘premium’ device download. Details are at the end of the earlier post topic entitled ‘Conexant Polaris Unused CIR function- failure to install driver Win 10’ Hope this helps.

I am not aware that there is a product from Magix called "DVD Maker"?

However, your post really has nothing to do with the subject of this thread, which is about problems using the USB dongle in Magix' Rescue Your Videotapes. Hence I have hidden it. Please start a new thread with your question, including full details of your computer and the Magix program which you have.
