Hi

Which version of MEP do you have?

. . . . The other file formats make the end file size to large for the application where I want to use it. . . . .

Where do you want to use this format - on a website or what?

Which version of Windows Media Player do you have?

I can export to WMV format using MEP 2015, 2014, 2013 and MX on Windows 8.1 with no problems.

Thanks johnbaker - MEP is 16 with current updates onboard.

Place of primary use - Facebook where both size and length are limited.

If correct I believe WMP is 12

Funny thing after having posted this I went to work on a 17 minute video for a family member and found that MEP was not loaded (dont remember deleating but possible) so I installed and updated. No problems with editing and saving project and no problems burning to a DVD. In the past when I saved to MPG at the end of the conversion it would auto start then go into error mode. I assumed that it was a bad save because I could not play it back in that format through any of my video players. HOWEVER this time just for the heck of it I tryed again and guess what.... It not only converted and saved it started playing in auto play and played fine to the end. I have returned to the file time and time again and each time it has played just like it did before. I dont know or understand what has changed but the darn thing is working now just like it did with Windows 7
