Hi Michael

Yes, strange that they only mention Essentials 3 on the website although it may be that IV was a special bundled version for NLE's. It came with MEP2013 Premium and does have some nice effects including the skin touchup which works quite well.

Your best bet may be trying to find an old copy of  MEP and would most likely be cheaper even at MEP's original full price.

I do have an older versio MMEP Premium 2013 but there in the program you can't transfer them. Also if I make a video in 2013 using these effects they won't work in 2015 because the program is 64 Bit. the Effects are 32 Bit.

Hi Michael,

Here is the link:

http://legacy.newbluefx.com/products/essential-tools/video-essentials-4

Note the site name: legacy.newbluefx.com

I had some trouble navigating this site. Some links don't work and others give strange results. I may be my IE needs to be restarted.

Skin Touch-up is available for 60$ as a standalone, whereas the entire Essentials IV is 130$.

There is a version of NewBlue Titler EX that comes with the upgrade to Magix 2015 Premium. When I activated and registered it, I was offered a free version of Skin Touch Up. I downloaded the exe file which is actually for Essentials IV, and when running it one is given the option to install only the product purchased or the entire suite to see what the other ones do. The only problem for me was that in the two emails for the download, the Promo code was blank each time, so I will be contacting NB.

Another hickup, I installed the entire suite and it doesn't show up in 2015, even though I downloaded both 32 and 64bit versions and the latter is in the 64bit Program Files. But, it does show up in 2014. Strange. Another one for NB.

I suggest that if you purchase it, install both 32 and 64bit plugins for future use.

Michael,

NB sent me the key to Skin Touch Up, but did not resolve my problem with the plugin not showing up in MEP2015. I tried it out and it's cute, but not impressive, except for the price. As well, I had to render the part with the effect in order to even scroll across it, and I only had 2 photos on the timeline. Too slow.

Then I looked at Pixelan, which I have, and the Smart Blur Pro module does a much better and more efficient job at the same thing for less than half the price. As well, I was able to double mask the effect, once organically using the colour picker (just like in NB), and the other using an oval mask from within the Pixelan tool over the area where I only wanted the effect to be applied. This reduces spill into areas with similar colours where you don't want the effect applied.

As well, the module does much, much more. I suggest that you take a look. Download the trial and try it out. You can also download and try out the trial NB plugin and try it out and compare.

Hi John

Thank you that is really helpfull I will try your suggestions out in a couple of days time and let you know how I got on.

I don't know if you came accross this pronlem.

When I upload pictures from my camera into MMEP Premium 2015 the pictures show on the screen for just a few seconds and before I can tick the ones I want to import they vanish and a box comes up saying private. I'm doing exactly the same routine as I do in my 2013 version infact I have had to do it that way. There must be something you change in the software?

Regards

Hi John

I purchased Pixelan CreativeEase and I'm well satisfied, some really nice effects and a reasonable price. The company really helpful always a reply to my emails the same day.

Going to see what the next step up is from CeativeEase.
