@Robert-Miller4912 Hi, it's a bug i had yrs ago but it went away, someone will hopefully give you an answer for permanent solution but for now, right click on the Taskbar - Taskmanager, in the Process's tab look for Magix, right click & End Process, this will hopefully remove the obstacle,

Hi Robert and welcome to the user to user forums.

I am not sure what is going on but recently I have noticed a few programs on my Windows 10 machine only need the program icon to be clicked once for them to be initiated. That behaviour includes Movie Edit Pro, Video Pro X, Firefox, Photoshop, CrystalDisk, Winamp, and Cubase.

Try a single left click of the mouse and see if that cures your problem.

You can also open Task Manager before doing so to see if an instance of MEP is running in the background before you try.

Another option to try is to change the Open Folder option in the mouse controls to space out the timing of the double click slightly.

Ray.

In addition to the excellent advice from @Former user and @CubeAce you might also check in Task Manager, the Startup tab and make sure that MEP/VDL is not listed there as "Enabled". If it is (and it certainly shouldn't be, shouldn't be there at all), change the Enabled to Disabled.
