Hi, I had this error when I first installed the programme and tried to import music, I got it to work by changing all the paths that come pre-installed to a local drive, which worked for a bit now it's stopped import music files again. Anyone else had this issue?
Hi Dominic. No not personally, but just to confirm you are talking about Movie Edit Pro? If so which version please and what operating system are you on?
Forgive me for asking but we often get people posting in the wrong forums.
How old is the drive? It could be s sign of a failing drive (worst case). It could have been caused by a Windows update or similar. Not completely impossible. Weirder things have been known to happen.
Hi, Yes it's Movie Edit Pro, Version 20.0.1.73, laptop is on Windows 10 has been since install. it's 64 Bit and 2 years old so unlikely it's the drive. As I said I had it when I first purchased it, thought I'd fixed it changing the default drive location, as the default were network drives which it didn't like.

Have you ever forced a shutdown of your PC while MEP is running or forced a shut down of MEP while running or shut down the PC without first shutting down MEP?
Sometimes, such occurrences can shut down the PC before MEP has had a chance to complete all of it's house keeping. Sometimes MEP will run components of itself for a few minutes after shutting down the program.
Other than that or a rogue update I can't think of anything that would trip MEP up.
Maybe another member can throw around a few more ideas.

Can you post a screenshot of the Program settings Folder path tab.
Do any of your folder contain non standard characters eg !"£$%^&*()@{}\\// etc or are they all made up from a - z, A - Z, 0 - 9, hyphen, minus sign, full stop/period and spaces
