Photos are clipped on DVD output

Photostory 10 deluxe

EDIT: Executive Summary - photos cropped when output to DVD; but not on PC (wmv)

I have put together some ancient scanned slides into a photo story.

Output when viewed  with the *.wmv output is perfect.

 

Output on the standard DVD 16:9 clips (or crops) some, but not all photos. 
ie the head has been lost in a few stills!
Same whether portrait or landscape.

I have un-ticked the option, automatically cut to fit moniotor for the offending stills and this looks as intended on the preview; but the burnt effect is as if I had not done that.

 

Yes - I did save the project before burning, and it still looks ok on Preview - just not the DVD.

 

Any thoughts appreciated.

I'll answer this myself

 

It depends on whether the format chosen for the slide show matches the TV resolution

Some TV's upscale  3:4 pics to widescreen

others do not - the trick is to try and match the TV you think it is going to be displayed on, usually 16:9

and hope for the best.

 

Output in *.wmv format just plays exactly as intended.
