why have you stopped allowing the import of .psd files I have used Video Pro X for several years without and major issues and on the last big update the software no longer allows the import of psd files I use pre drawn images of railway signals that have taken hours of work All to Scale as a result of your changes have had to resort to redrawing all the signals in png format but as of yet I have not been able to come up with suitable method of scaling the images and I am now having to resize on the timeline each time I use an image

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

I don't have Photoshop so no .psd files readily available. However, I am very surprised if VPX does not allow the import of such a "standard" (almost) image file format.

Is it possible for you to upload one of your affected files somewhere (not to the forum since I suspect the forum software will alter or compress it) for others to download and test on their machines?

@john-croft

Hi

Confirmed PSD file import is not working in VPX 16.0.1.255. Works OK in Movie Edit Pro 17.0.3.177

Please file a bug report (support request) here

. . . . have had to resort to redrawing all the signals in png format but as of yet I have not been able to come up with suitable method of scaling the images and I am now having to resize on the timeline each time I use an image . . . .

If you are using Photoshop have you considered using the Batch conversion function to take the existing PSD's and convert to PNG?

I have used Corel Paintshop Pro for batch conversion of PSD files to another format.
