PhotoStory Deluxe will not burn a playable DVD.

I built a DVD including music and special effects. I go through the burn process and the program says the DVD has been successfully completed. However, when I try playing the DVD in my DVD player the DVD will not play and I get a message to insert a DVD (my DVD player works with other DVDs). I've also tried playing the DVD on the computer with the same results. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall the program or is there another fix. I've burned 5 DVDs with the same results.

Hi

. . . . Do I need to uninstall and reinstall the program or is there another fix . . . .

The most common cause of this is the quality of the discs, are you using a new batch of discs or 'economy' ie unbranded, shop branded, or DVD+R discs?

To save time and money, I would suggest you to get a couple of rewriteable DVD-RW discs of a good brand eg Verbatim, use these to do the initial burns and testing and once you have a good disc and no changes are needed to the movie, copy the DVD-RW to good quality DVD-R discs.

Personally I use full face printable Ritek DVD-R discs, I print the case cover and disc with images and titles I create for them. Failure with these has been very rare they appear to be compatible with a wide range of players.

Other causes are issues with the DVD writer eg age, the optical system has been jarred out of line.
