Playback in editing mode is broken

In editing mode, the film doesn't play from playback marker, it goes to the beginning of the whole film then starts with a frozen picture until the playback marker is reached. At that point it goes normally, (till the next time you need to play from the marker).
And BTW the current Playback marker (the "where I'm currently working playback marker") has the arrowhead on the top. The playback marker which begins again at the beginning of the film does not have the arrowhead, it's only.a hairline.
Anyone got an idea? I have a concert recording to get onto DVD and just a couple of days more to do it. Heeelp!

BTW my program is Movie Edit Pro Premium V10.0.2.49 (UDP3) On Win 10, incl the two newest Updates made last night. The famous February update with the problems is apparently not on my PC)

The universe is out to humiliate me! I closed the program and opened again for the third or fourth time, and everything now is right as rain again. But I'm going to see if it tries to roll over me again, in which case I'll dig this out and repost. Have a LOVELY day everybody!!!!
