Playback keeps starting from start and not from the red timeline bar

PeteyF wrote on 10/10/2021, 5:13 AM

Hi gang...

I keep having a problem with MEP 2022 playback. It keeps starting from the start of the video even when I move the red timeline. If I shut down the program, it will work from the red timeline but after more editing, it keeps playback starting from the start.

It seems to be originating from the fact I put the Intro template... the red curtain. It keeps wanting to start my project. I opened another project and it plays from the red timeline wherever I put it... but that crazy red curtain has taken control from the start in a different project. Why?

Hi Petey.

Forgot to add, always use the lone ⩥ play button and not the bracketed [⩥] playback button to resume playback as the latter button always resumes at the beginning of the range selection.

Hi Petey,

When this happens, clicking on the double-headed arrow at the bottom, near right end of the Project Window (Optimize timeline), usually corrects the problem.

You should say it's from the FILE MENU - SETTINGS - Program - Playback tab
