Just press the first icon to the left of the -- / + icons in the very bottom right hand corner of the timeline editor and then press the minus button to go beyond the last clip of the project.

That did it! I would never have figured that out in a million years. Thank you!

Is there a way to keep that from happening again? This is the first time I've ever encountered that, and I really have no need to set a playback range, or have one set for me, as I don't think I set that one.

Just make sure that when you save a project at the end of an editing session that you are not zoomed in to your view between the playback [ Range ] markers. It is a normal function of the editor that I use a lot to loop specific parts of project I'm working on as the blue line can be used for looping or to force create specific areas to be pre-rendered for ease of playback when taxing the ability of the system to play back certain sections of a project.

Also there are two play buttons. The [ ⫸] one will only play back between the blue line while the standard ⫸ button will play beyond and from wherever the playback bar stops.

In fact you can play around with the program and store different workspace layouts and views to recall for particular editing needs.

This my current view for this project. The bottom very light grey bar at the base of the timeline editor can also slide left and right to go past the current set blue bar.
