Playback setting problem

I am using MEP 2015 Plus and have a new problem which has never happened before. While editing a film in timeline mode, when I place the orange vertical line at a point on the film and try to play it from that point, it always reverts and plays the film from the beginning! I must have accidentally hit a key or changed a setting but nothing has fixed this! Even though I never use the edit range feature, I cannot get the blue line to show up either, so maybe that fact is related to my playback issue. Please help!

I want to add one thing to post above: this playback issue is only happening with one movie I am trying to edit. When I load a different movie, all is OK.

Hi

It happens from time to time that the project gets corrupt so the solution is to copy and paste the whole of the timeline objects into a new project with a different name.

Another suggestion which I have not tried is to click the "Optimize the Timeline" view icon - double headed arrow at the bottom right of the program, reposition the marker and try to play again.

Thanks for the reply. The second option did the trick as suggested by a guy from Magix support.
