Please fix the plugin chain integration!!!!

Sound Forge 9, 10 had the plugin integration down cold! you could play the file anywhere along the timeline and change accordingly. this "preview" function of starting at the beginning every time is a joke.... a very bad joke! it does not bode well for tying to dial things in quickly and needs to be changed/reverted back to how it was... obviously anyone working in audio or had no experience working with an older version had NO say on how this was changed!!!!

To get the plug-in chainer to function 'similar' to the legacy SF Pro. select: "Apply plug-in chain" in the "Fx Favorites" menu. Unfortunately, most plug-in's automaton does not work in that mode. I questioned SCS (Sony) about the chainer and the 'remote record' mode change many moons ago whilst beta testing Pro 11.. crickets.

That said, there are a few advantages to the modal chainer.

Nope.... that just brings up the window to then add or delete plugins to the chain.... to hear the changes you hit “preview” and the file starts from the beginning....every damn time... you cant forward to hear specific areas....this is terrible and no longer a professional application... they need to fix this!!!! And NO I am not going to go to Sequoia.... for $3000!!!!

SF Pro 14.0 (build 65) previews the same as in Pro 10 when highlighting a selection .

In any case I prefer the legacy UI as well. I highly doubt Magix will change it at this point.

I couldn't agree more! I still use Sound Forge Pro 10 for almost everything because the plugin chainer interface is *so much better*. Another bonus is the ability to process a file or selection at the click of a button, without having to assign a name to the chain and save it, only to find it *isn't quite* what you wanted.
The thing is, I can't imagine it would be particularly difficult, or increase the size of the program much, to make this a selectable option — 'Modern', or 'Classic' chainer interface. That would be the best of both worlds, as people who prefer the newer version would be able to stick with it. But I'd wager that if the 'Classic' option was offered, *a lot* of people would go back to it ;-)
