Can anyone verify the following behaviour when making standard titles?
Trying to create a shadow no longer seems to be working.
Instead the title moves at a diagonal across the screen.
Can this be linked to the alpha channel problem we saw using the Pro res files?

I use the image download box to add video. There may be a file size limit, I'm not sure. You have to wait for the green line underneath to reach the end before hitting comment. The file doesn't always appear straight away.
I'm wondering if the blur relies on using the alpha channel. That may explain a lot with the Pro res problem and some uses of the green screen where I see the entire image shift on each RGBA channel.

Hi,
This is kind of what I would expect to happen. The main text moves depending on what goes around it. The shadow is part of the text box. I would just simply adjust the location when finished.
MEP/VPX has a limit on what you can do with text. If you want more, use BluffTitler, the right tool for the job.

Hi John.
It worked correctly in previous versions of MEP and VPX. I had used it in the past. with MEP 2020 and 2021.
It still works correctly in VPX 12 as do the Pro Res files.
I may as well add that Magix 3D Titler is also broken in VPX 12 and not holding its settings if changed. It worked in VPX 11.
At this rate if the developers are not careful more will break if one bit of corrupted code gets placed upon another.

You are quite right. The text does not move in MEP2021. The shadow gets the blur and the main text does not move.
I think that the best way to show this is to exaggerate the H and V offsets as per my images. Then you can really see the impact of the blur.

But what I am wondering is does the blur control reply on the alpha channel?
I think this, and the earlier Pro res 444 issues are linked to problems with MEP and VPX handling the RGBA channels of some video clips. They seem completely out of sync with each other as if the video frames were being handled as fields in an interlaced video, but vertically rather than horizontally. Even there when trying to use a Chroma key setting, the alpha channel moves to the right compared to the RGB channels. The RGBA channels
Surely all the channels should be on top of each other, not alongside each other?
I just think it is more than a coincidence the movement across the screen caused by adding a shadow is linked to the Alpha channel or that when dealing with a Pro res 444 file with an Alpha channel produces that combing effect when using the Chroma Key function.

Hi.
I have double checked the Pro res 444 problem with various Chroma Key settings in VPX 11 and I do not get any combing effect at all on the RGB or Alpha channels with any Chroma Key settings.
When I have time, probably at the end of next week I will see if it presents any problems with any plugins that made use of the Alpha channel when used within MEP 2022.
