I use Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium. I believe it's the 2020 version. I use windows 10. Every time I try to add a video or a pic to timeline I get this error message. ("The following video effect plug-in could not be loaded" "It is possible that no video plug-ins are installed or the version is incompatible").
I have no idea why it's doing this...

If you are running Avast or AVG anti-virus software then it could be the same as I had reported in this thread yesterday. I had the same pop-up boxes appear.

Sorry for not replying, some of us are in different time zones. I'd gone to bed.
Did you click on the link (the words in blue) to go to the other thread?
The answer was there if you are running Avast or AVG. If you are not running either of those two antivirus programs it may not be what has effected your program.
If you have closed down your machine by now, the solution may be too late and you may have to re-install the program.

@CubeAce thanks for the reply. I am running AVG. I did go back and read the thread so I guess I gotta re-install MEP. I think I'm going to change my virus program back to Micro Trend. This really has inconvenient me. I have a project that should be done by noon today, look like that won't happen. Thanks again for your help. I've been using MEP since 2003 and I see that they have change how you get in touch with their support department.

I've been an Avast user since about 98 and this is the first problem I've had with it.
I think it odd happening just before the release of the new update of MEP.
It may not be all Avasts fault. Still it will teach me to make exceptions of programs not to be monitored in future.
I hope you get back up and running soon. I managed to update to the new 2021 version in less than an hour.

@CubeAce I haven't seen any update for Magix as of yet. I uninstalled and reinstalled and MEP is working fine now. Thank for your help...
Apparently I've been told that Avast has a history of such behavior so I guess I could count myself lucky up to now.

This is not the first time Avast and now AVG have caused an issue with Magix programs.

You need to get in touch with AVG and see what they say.
