Premium wont install

..waited a couple of hours to download and install only to get the message that I already have it and it self cancels install. This is a premium upgrade from music maker .. the first advice I followed said remove old version and all Magix folders which I did do, so there is nothing on the system and should have been a clean install. Any help would be better than trying to get a refund.

@Jstinfo.-- How did you remove the old version? Did you use the uninstall routine or did you delete it manually?

Hi,

Just to maybe muddy the waters, Music Maker is free. There is only one version and it is not Plus or Premium. You install the program. If you want more features, presets, instruments and Soundpools, you purchase the Plus or Premium edition and you activate it in Music Maker - no need to reinstall or install the program unless you have purchased 2021 content Plus or Premium) but the version of Music Maker installed is 2020 or older.

If you have MMM2020 installed and you want to install MMM2021, you are offered the possibility to keep the older version. You should do so. The new version, 2021, is 64 bits, the older versions are 32 bits. There are new features in 2021 that you can only get by purchasing them separately or purchasing Plus or Premium 2021 editions.

After you activate an edition in MMM, like Plus or Premium, then you get access to the feature, presets, instruments and Soundpools as purchased - but you have to Download most of them under the Downloads button that will show up and for some, you get credits in the Store.

You should also activate any previous Plus and Premium versions that you have purchased in the new version. This will unlock some instruments, presets and features.

So, what do or did you have installed as the Program? Look under Help, About. The current version is 29.0.5.29.
