Hello,

Im using magix music maker 2013 premium, version 19.0.1.36, with windows 8.

Im using a microphone connected to the line-in of my computer. The sound is correct when i hear the direct playback. But when i record it with magix, the sound is just a mess. I checked the sampling quality etc... my sound card is totally okay. Im sure it comes from the software.

Anybody would have an idea to help me ? (sorry for my approximatif english)

Thank You

Léo

First of all, you would need to tell us more about your microphone (brand, model, type...).

Second, the "Line-IN" jack is not an appropriate input for a microphone.  The Line-IN is for line level signals, such as keyboards, tape players, CD players, etc.  Microphones do not produce enough of a signal to drive the input and need a proper preamp. Condenser microphones require 48V phantom power as well.

You likely need an appropriate audio/MIDI interface.
